Byram Elementary School

TAK successfully turned over this new elementary school in Byram Township, New Jersey for the new school year in September 2003. This 85,200 sf building sits on a 106 acre site enveloped by adjacent wetlands, an existing middle school and nearly habitat for threatened owl species. The building structure consisted of two 2-story classroom wings, central offices, cafetorium, gymnasium and media center. The classroom wings feature 42 classrooms, music rooms, art rooms and computer centers. The front facade features a stately colonnade, supporting a canopy and bell tower. The cafetorium with raised stage features retractable tables which fit into wall storage bins for special school presentations and productions.
